Formator's Report of Deles Phase 1 by Sr. Esther Adama, SND, Fugar, Edo State

Introduction:
The Deles programme have been for me over the years a great medium by which different individuals or potential leaders come to identify their giftedness and how to participate fully in any given project for the growth of not only the self but the entire community and world at large. Our candidates have benefited from this tremendous programme.

This is very important for our country especially at this moment when the leadership in our country is taking a very dynamic step for the continent and world. Hence the training of good future leaders for the church is very essential and we thank the directors of this programme.

Formator's report
My postulants this Lucy, MaryAnn and Theresa were participants of the Deles phase 1 in February 2010. They came up with a project that will help to improve the ecology of the postulate compound of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. This by planting of flowers, trees (New Palm trees) and vegetables in some designated places in the compound. They did their best to carry out the project but not as planned because of our kidnapping experience in the compound here the very day they returned but to God be the Glory they were able to plant some trees and flowers in August 2010.

However they have been able to care for the fifteen Palm trees they planted in March this year and some others flowers as well. Currently we are enjoying the vegetables from the farm and the compound has been transformed due to their efforts and dedication. They took part in it diligently as I sometimes observe from afar and other times we are together in the business of this environmental transformation.

Finally, though the plans they had at the beginning did not take place as scheduled and no formal evaluation was done but thanks be to God Almighty they were able to embark on the project eventually and did them well. One thing I admire is the spirit behind trying to organize things, meet up and do a task or tasks agreed upon not because they are been watched but the initiative and commitment they put doing such a project is what I appreciate.
